Dr. David Sheade, Optometrist
Dr. David Sheade holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois and a Doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. With over 13 years of experience, Dr. Sheade is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ocular conditions and diseases. His expertise includes managing glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, chronic dryness, and acute infections. He also specializes in fitting specialty contact lenses, including those for patients with high astigmatism and those needing myopia management.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Sheade enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing the acoustic guitar, and supporting his favorite sports teams, the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls. He also loves chasing after his toddler daughter.
Kevin Count
Kevin is a board-certified optician with over 30 years of experience, specializing in custom eyewear and frame crafting. As a master craftsman and innovator, he combines his deep knowledge of optics with a solid commitment to optometry. Kevin's dedication to excellence is evident in his educational efforts, where he imparts his expertise to patients and fellow opticians.
In February 2018, Kevin traveled to Morez, France, to study with the esteemed Les Meilleurs Ouvriers De France Lunetiers (Master Eyeglass Craftsmen of France). This experience allowed him to refine his skills in handcrafted eyeglass frames. Since returning, Kevin has created bespoke eyewear for various clients, including celebrities and politicians. In 2020, he created Optical Kitchen, a platform launched in 2022 that enables clients to design their own custom eyewear. Available exclusively at Corner Optical.
Kevin also conducts frame-making workshops several times yearly, sharing his extensive knowledge with other opticians. He lives in Glenview with his wife and their three dogs and is a familiar face around town.
Phyllis Milewski
In early May 2022, Corner Optical proudly expanded our team with the addition of Phyllis, our newest staff member!
Phyllis brings a wealth of experience from her years at Carillon Vision. She is a Certified Optician, a Fellow of the American Board of Opticianry, and a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Known for her expertise in helping patients find their perfect pair of glasses, Phyllis is dedicated to staying current with the latest optical technology through ongoing education and new certifications. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to the exceptional service she will provide to our patients for years to come.
